Kev Thomas is a veteran Wrexham police officer nearing retirement. Blunt, instinctive and deeply rooted in the community, he knows the town’s streets, people and secrets better than anyone.

But when his son Dylan, also a police officer, takes his own life, Kev is left broken, forced to face the possibility that he never really knew his own son.

Three months later, Kev’s teenage grandson Sam is groomed and abducted by local dealers. Kev goes after him alone, off the books, and with no patience for procedure.

His search pulls him into a criminal network running across the North-East Wales border, while uncovering the hidden struggles that consumed Dylan before his death.
