Borderland (working title)

Kev Thomas is a veteran uniformed police officer nearing retirement. Blunt, instinctive and deeply embedded in the community, he knows Wrexham’s streets, people and secrets better than anyone.

But when his son Dylan, also a police officer, takes his own life, Kev is left broken and adrift, forced to face the painful truth that he may not have known his own son as well as he thought.

Three months later, Kev’s teenage grandson Sam is groomed and abducted by local dealers. Kev goes after him the only way he knows how: alone, off the books, and with no patience for procedure.

As his search pulls him into a criminal network running across the North-East Wales border, Kev begins to uncover the hidden struggles that consumed Dylan in the months before his death.

Forced into an unlikely partnership with a young Cardiff officer, Kev finds himself confronting not only the changing face of Wrexham, but also a deeper reckoning with fatherhood, loss, and the bonds between fathers and sons.
